Medyca's doctors are available for house calls, both in city centres and anywhere in the countryside. You can also book a medical appointment at our private clinic in the Siena city centre, if you don't have an accommodation nearby. Just specify it in the request form and our team will communicate the appointment time. If you are unsure whether our doctors can reach you to your location, just ask! You simply need to place a doctor request and our team will confirm all the necessary details.

What are the costs of a doctor visit?

The cost of a house-call doctor appointment is 300 €, with sometimes small surcharges for particularly long distances. All necessary drug prescriptions are issued free of extra charge as part of the visit.

If extra services are performed during the visit, there may be an extra-charge. Night visits (later than 20:00) have 100€ extra charge.

Examples of extra services: ECG Test, stitches and/or bandages applied to a wound, Streptococcus oral rapid test, intramuscular injection etc.

Will my health insurance refund the expense?

After the appointment, we provide you a medical report that details the findings of the doctor visit, prescriptions, and treatments. As we produce this report directly in English, you won't risk that your insurance will not accept it, due to language differences. Although we cannot promise that all health insurance will refund our visits, we can tell you that nobody has ever seen their expense claim rejected yet. Should it happen to you, please contact us and we will do our best to help you get your money back. We are used to filling out additional documentation specifically required by your insurance, so just ask and we will be happy to help you.
